Boat Tours To Lime Cay Jamaica

Lime Cay Jamaica is a tiny island just a 15 minute boat ride away from Port Royal in Kingston. It also possesses one of the most beautiful white sand beaches in the entire island and is surrounded by crystal clear seas. Although uninhabitable due to the rising and falling tides (the island is sometimes submerged), it is still a popular spot for tourists and visitors alike.

On the weekends, Lime Cay is a beehive of Jamaican activities, as many boats visit the island in the afternoons for lunch and refreshments or to relax and hang out with friends. There are no facilities on the island (except on weekends when vendors come and sell food and cold drinks) so if you are planning to visit for a picnic we can assist you in taking your own lunch.

As a part of the Lime Cay beach tour we will hire a local fisherman to ferry you to the island and return to pick you up in the afternoons. Of course you will be accompanied by our guide to ensure your trip goes smoothly (however if you would prefer privacy on the island we will oblige as well.) The water of the bay is protected by local authorities, so you will be free to swim, sunbathe and have fun without worry.

During weekdays, it is typical for the island to be completely empty, so you may end up being the only visitors for the day and have the entire island to yourselves! Many visitor opt to engage in clothing optional sunbathing on weekdays if alone on the island. You can even arrange to go snorkelling around the cay or near the other small islands to explore underwater caves and see beautiful marine life.

It is also very near to the Norman Manley International Airport, so you can watch planes entering Jamaica. If you wish to book this amazingly unique excursion, fill out the application form below.

Our team will transfer you from your accommodation to the Morgan’s Harbour dock in Port Royal where we will meet the fisherman who will ferry us across to the island. We will make arrangement with the fisherman before your arrival and pay him his fee.

If you wish to stop and purchase lunch in Kingston to take along with you for a picnic, we can assist you with this as well. After you are finished with your tour and you are ready to get back to the mainland, we will call the fisherman to return you to shore and then we will transfer you back to your hotel or to other scheduled activities.
