Volunteer Work In Business Development In Jamaica

Seeking volunteer work in business administration abroad? Do you have business experience? Are you studying business management in school? Perhaps you are a business owner yourself. Whatever your level of business skills, Jamaica International Projects has partnered with a number of struggling businesses and companies in Jamaica that need your assistance.

Why You Should Consider Doing Volunteer Work In The Business Field

Jamaicans are naturally entrepreneurial in spirit, and with the unavailability of jobs, many Jamaicans turn to starting their own business. However, with the poor economy, lack of entrepreneurial training, expensive cost of electricity, high taxes and virtually no access to start-up funds, many local businesses are forced to close their doors within less than a year of operation.

This is your chance to help break this vicious cycle, by engaging in business related volunteer work abroad and devoting your expertise and resources to help a local entrepreneur with a struggling venture.

What You Can Do On Your Volunteer Abroad Business Project:

  • *Teach a local entrepreneur and their staff about how to properly run a business, especially in the areas of business plan writing, accounting, customer service and other crucial areas
  • *Visit struggling businesses in Jamaica and learn the daily operations of the establishment
  • *Suggest systems, strategies and also advise business owners and their teams on how to increase their efficiency and boost sales
  • *Get advised of special projects or problems that your local placement faces and put on fundraising to assist them back home
  • *Donate to help upgrade or enhance your local business placement
  • *Visit a Jamaican high school or Tertiary Institution and teach local students how to start and properly manage a business
  • *Put on informational sessions or expos to educate locals on how to start their own businesses
  • *Mentor and advise local business owners
